"Time waits for no one."

Whether we are ready or not, time keeps racing forward.

We might postpone a decision or delay the effort to reach a goal. We might wait for favorable circumstances to arise. Yet, we cannot halt the passage of time.

Whether we like it or not,

the gift of time is placed in our hands

at the very start of the day.

Should we really let this gift slip away

while we are still on our journey,

only to stand there empty-handed?

We are meticulous about how we spend money,

yet we fail to plan how we spend our time.

We spend our lives waiting for this and that;

having lost the very time we spent waiting,

we continue to let our days pass

in a state of endless waiting.

Just as no one can steal one's education,

no one can steal away one's time.

Yet, without us even realizing it,

the time allotted to us

is being stolen away.

Have we ever truly grasped this?

All sorts of people are stealing our time.

All sorts of things are waiting to pilfer it.

We are letting it be stolen

without even knowing who the thief is.

We fritter away our precious time

on mobile phones, computers, and television,

only to deceive ourselves by claiming,

"There is no time, there is no time."

The brother, immersed entirely in the online world,

finds no time to go to the nearby shop

to buy medicine for his father.

The sister, who yearns desperately for 'likes' on Facebook,

has no heart to help her mother—

an act that would truly earn her a 'like'.  A son working in the city has no time

to visit his elderly parents

living in the village.

A wife who spends her entire day

in front of the television has no time

to talk to her husband when he returns home.

A younger brother who spends his time

playing video games has no time

to do his homework.

Ask anyone, and the answer is "no time"...

"no time"...

Without knowing how to properly

utilize the time we have been given,

we cling to that single phrase—"no time"—

and deceive ourselves.

You might have used the words "no time"

to mislead someone else.

But this is not a phrase

meant to deceive others.

In reality, the phrase "no time"

is one with which you deceive yourself.

Have you ever heard any living being—

other than humans—say "no time"?

Has Nature ever shirked its duty

by citing a lack of time?

Has the sun ever halted its work

claiming it had no time to appear?

Have trees and plants ever stopped

bearing fruit, claiming they had no time?

Has the wind ever taken a break,

saying it had no time to blow?

If the sun were to stubbornly stop,

claiming it had no time to rise...

If trees and plants were to stand still,

saying they had no time to bear fruit for a year...

If the wind were to halt its work,

saying it wouldn't blow for even a single day...

It makes one want to scream,

"Oh my! Please, no—spare us!" doesn't it?

Do not fear.

They will never stop performing their duties

by claiming they have no time.

Why, then, must we alone

go around clinging to this phrase—"no time"?  It is by what we do

with the time allotted to us

that we truly define ourselves.

Have we let time slip away,

only to be left blinking in bewilderment?

Did we squander it without realizing its worth,

or did we truly cherish and enjoy it?

A sprinter knows

just how priceless time is.

A victory that was within reach

can slip away in half a second.

How drastically that split-second

could have altered the course of his life.

Timely assistance rendered to an accident victim

can save their very life.

"You arrived at the right moment;

had you been delayed by just five minutes,

life would have been lost,"

the doctor might say.

At that moment, the victim

might clasp their hands in gratitude,

eyes brimming with tears.

It is an emotional moment

where the eyes convey a depth of gratitude

that words cannot express.

Can anything truly match the value

of those five minutes?

Those five minutes

saved a life.

"I wasted time,

and now time wastes me,"

said Shakespeare.

Indeed... if we waste time,

time will one day waste us.

Only one who possesses the ability

to transform every moment—

be it a time of opportunity, a favorable time,

or a time of adversity—

into a moment of significance

can carve their name into the annals of history.

"Tomorrow" is an illusion;

"Today" is the only reality.

Do not play hide-and-seek with time.

Pick a quarrel with the excuse

of "having no time."  Let your success story
